Don Harrison, President of Capitalist Investment Services and Branch Manager of Raymond James Financial Services, is a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis. He holds a B.A. Degree from the University of Virginia.

He began his investment career in 1981 with E F Hutton, and worked as a financial advisor for a number of major securities firms before starting Capitalist Investment Services and affiliating with Raymond James Financial Services in November, 2001.

He is a General Securities Principal (Series 24,) and also holds Series 7, 51, 63 and 65 securities licenses, and insurance licenses for Life, Health and Variable Annuities.

His hobbies include coaching (former President & current board member of Girls Lacrosse Association of Anne Arundel County), fishing and golf. He currently resides in Arnold, Md. with his wife Karen and two daughters, Jennie and Amy.

Paul Burdett
Financial Advisor, RJFS

Paul Burdett, Raymond James Financial Advisor, is a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, and a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.

Paul began his financial career in 1981, with Legg Mason in Baltimore, became affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services in 1998, and joined Capitalist Investment Services in 2003. He is a General Securities Principal (Series 24,) and also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

He currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland with wife Anne and their two children Fletch and Colleen.

John Burkhardt
Financial Advisor, RJFS

John Burkhardt is a resident of Anne Arundel County and a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph in Baltimore. He holds a B.S. degree from the College of Business at University of Maryland, College Park.

He began his investment career in 1987 with Dean Witter and affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services in 2007. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licences along with insurance licences for Life and Health.

His hobbies include running, golf, and coaching. He currently resides in Annapolis, MD with his wife, Chris, and their two children, Connor and Jack.

Mindy Haines
Branch Assistant

Mindy Haines came to Capitalist Investment Services in 2006 after spending six years at home with her two children, Amanda and Spencer. Prior to that time, she was an Executive Assistant for IT Companies in the Maryland area. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park and is a life long Marylander.

Mindy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and running, and has completed three marathons. She resides in Millersville with her husband, Phil, and their two children.

Karen Harrison
Branch Assistant

Karen Harrison is an Army Brat who traveled with her family all over the US and Europe. She considers Maryland her home since settling here when she married Don.

Karen worked for Peace Corps and Department of Agriculture as an Administrative Assistant before having children. She has taught basket weaving to seniors at local senior centers as well as the local community college. Crafts have played an important part of filling her time while raising her two children, Jennie and Amy, with Don.
